A night on the Town to support the 100th Water Carnival
Friends of Water Carnival & the Eagles Mere Floatbuilders Association are sponsoring a night on the town fund raiser to support the 100th Carnival. This is the Carnival’s main fund raising event and will be a fun evening out for Eagles Mere and a great opportunity to support the Carnival, visit with friends and have a load of fun. Stay tuned to the UPDATE section of the front page of the EMWC100.com website and the Treetop Eagle for more details. This is not an EMAA event.

6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Eagles Mere Athletic Association cocktail party fund raiser Walkup Cottage ($)
8:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The Water Carnival Commissioner’s Ball, under the Big Tent, Village Green ($). Come join the community as we celebrate one hundred showings of the one of a kind Eagles Mere Water Carnival. Highlights will include lie music by The Celtic pop/bluegrass band the McKrells of Saratoga Springs, lots of food, and beverages. The carnivals past royalty will be introduced and commemorative 100th carnival memorabilia will be auctioned. This is going to be a wonderful event to meet and greet many old friends returning to the mountain for the big weekend.
Saturday, August 4th, 2007
2:00 p.m. (approximately) EMAA Sunfish race from the beach
7:00 p.m. (tentative) Royalty Cruise on the Royal Yacht (the launch) to inspect the Boathouses, Docks, and Landings
7:30 p.m. Floatbuilders pre-launch meeting at Edge Mere Dock
8:00 p.m. Floats launch and assemble along Crestmont shoreline
8:30 p.m. Introduction of Water Carnival’s past royalty at the beach
8:45 p.m. Parade of 100th Water Carnival Floats progresses around Eagles Mere Lake. Best public viewing with announcers will be at Edgemere Dock and the Eagles Mere Beach at the North end of the lake. Souvenir programs will be available for $1.00 at the Beach and Edgemere
9:45 – 10:00 p.m. Awarding of float and shoreline prizes at the beach

1:15 p.m. EMAA Lake Swim from Edgemere Dock
3:00 p.m. Bath House Decorating Contest Awards
Come and enjoy some of Eagles Mere’s finest interior decorating of Eagles Mere’s most valuable real estate…a beach locker. Decorated lockers will de on display Sunday afternoon and awards will be announced at 3:00 p.m. at the Beach. Any one who has a locker may join in the fun. Full details and sign-up information will be in the EMAA Tree Top Eagle. Rules are posted below.
8:30 p.m. 100th Water Carnival Slide Show and Ice Cream Social, Village Green. Water Carnival is an exciting weekend, and this year we will capture all the fun on (digital) film. Come and enjoy a little ice cream and get a peak behind the scenes of Water Carnival 100. Royalty will be thanked for their service and the 2008 theme will be announced.

Rules:
No permanent decorations on the outside of the locker. No paint of any kind out side of Locker.
Any temporary decorations and hangings must be in good taste, and removed by 6 pm Sunday August 5th.
No alterations to the original wood structure, inside or out.
No permanent change to the interior surfaces other than paint and basic organizing aids such as hooks and shelves. Any interior painting must be in good taste.
Lockers must be ready for display and Judging by 1:00 p.m. Sunday August 5th, 2007
